About Me

Biography

Hi, my name is Paolo Gabriel! I am a Senior Computer Vision Engineer on the AI team at LookDeep Health. We put cameras in hospital rooms to assist with continuous patient monitoring. My current work focuses on designing computer vision pipelines, analyzing patient activity, and curating multi-modal datasets.

I have strong programming and mathematics skills, with applications in machine learning, signal processing, and data science. Others have described me as a supportive leader, excellent communicator, and inquisitive thinker. My other interests include painting portals, cooking anything, playing music, and lifting weights.

I received my PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering at UC San Diego, where I worked in the Translational Neuroengineering Lab.
