Biography

Hi, my name is Paolo Gabriel (1/tm)! I am a Senior Computer Vision Engineer on the AI team at LookDeep Health. We put cameras in hospital rooms to assist with continuous patient monitoring. I design computer vision pipelines, analyze patient activity, and curate multi-modal datasets.

I have solid skills in programming and math. I use these skills in machine learning, signal processing, and data science. Others have described me as a supportive leader, an excellent communicator, and an inquisitive thinker. My other interests include painting portals, cooking anything, playing music, and lifting weights.

I earned my PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering at UC San Diego. I worked in the Translational Neuroengineering Lab there. I completed my undergraduate BS in Engineering Physics at Stanford University.
